Apple Teacher Badge!
Every education major in college are usually anxiously awaiting their time to enter their official classes as education majors. With that being said, here at Kansas State University the college of education goes above and beyond to make sure their future teachers are prepared for the "real world of teaching". They give all their education, students the unique privilege and an opportunity to have access to an iPad during their education classes. After receiving my iPad I quickly fell in love with it! It allows oneself the ability to have a split screen option. The split screen options allows teachers the ability to create lesson plans in an effective manner that reduces less errors in copying the correct terminology for standards when it comes to updating or creating new lesson plans. Another neat feature the iPad allows you to do is capture a " screenshot" of what's on your screen any time. This tool is especially useful for when teachers allow students to complete an assessment online and they want them to write a reflection and put a picture of their assignment or passing score on their reflection. Probably the two most useful features on the iPad for teachers of any age and year is the stay on task and the ability to capture time lapse video features. The staying on task feature is found under the clock on the iPad this helps the teacher manage class transitions with built- in alarm, stopwatch, and timer. While the capture time-lapse feature allows the use to capture passages of time for things, this is very useful for art projects, science experiments among many other school actives. These are just a few of the many different features the iPad allows students, and future teachers the ability to grow and utilize technology within their colleague and teaching years.
